Each Tuesday, the REALTORS® in Whistler tour the newly listed properties. Every week I add my thoughts on the latest properties on the market here in Whistler, including my opinion on properties that are a good value or extra special. Here’s why the Whistler agent tour is important. My thoughts for this week are below.
This week’s tour was remarkable in the sense that we only viewed three properties. Is this a sign that our inventory is beginning to tighten again or just a one-off situation? Time will tell.

Why it’s interesting:
These two-bedroom, Phase 1 Covenant properties in Whistler Village continue to attract a lot of attention from Vancouver buyers looking to combine personal use with short-term rental revenue. With the option of self-management using tools like Airbnb and VRBO these properties have the potential to provide an attractive revenue stream for the owners. North Star is well located and offers great amenities including a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, meeting space and secured underground parking. The downside to this unit is it’s proximity to Highway 99 which means a bit of road noise. Last sale of a similar unit in the complex was $1,170,000.
Who it appeals to:
Likely to appeal to investors focused on rental revenue and personal use but reasonably well suited to full-time living as well.
